Deal of the Week: Jim Gaffigan for $5!

Frequent Bob & Tom Show guest Jim Gaffigan's new album, King Baby, is on sale for only $5 at Amazon.com. It's the MP3 downloadable version, but that's still a great price for a fine album from one of Tom Griswold's favorite comedians. In fact, Tom seems to have a little man-crush on Jim Gaffigan.

Happy 56th Birthday, Tom Griswold!

Yep. The guy who puts the Tom into the Bob & Tom show turned 56 years old today. So, let's see. That would make him 31 in this picture!

Mr. Skin on Joost

One of Bob Kevoian's favorite regular guests, Mr. Skin, can be found on Joost.com. Mr. Skin is the guy who documents pretty much every nude scene in cinema. His video podcasts are actually pretty entertaining, especially if you're wanting to keep...abreast...of the nude scene landscape.

Take for example, the Mr. Skin minute, which you can watch below.

First Bob & Tom Comedy Central special rerunning tomorrow

Hard to believe it's been almost 3 years since the first Bob & Tom Radio Tour special premiered on Comedy Central. If you've never seen it it's a great special featuring comedians Greg Hahn, Roy Wood, Jr., Mike Armstrong, Bob Zany and Drew Hastings. Really something in there for all comedy tastes.

Tomorrow, Comedy Central is rerunning the special at 3am and Noon ET. It's definitely worth setting the DVR for this one.

While the TV-14 special is indeed good, you also might want to check out the Bob and Tom Radio: The Comedy Tour unrated DVD, which also has some bonus features.

Here's a clip of Drew Hastings from the special:

Popular stop for Bob & Tom comedians turns 3.

Every so often, you'll hear a guest comedian on the Bob and Tom Show plug an upcoming appearance at a club called Mason City Limits in the tiny town of Mason City, Illinois. Population: 2,500. You wouldn't think a club would even try to operate in a town that small. 3 years later, the club is going strong. The thing that makes Mason City Limits stand out is that it was founded and is owned and operated by a comedian.

The Peoria Journal Star recently wrote about the club's 3rd anniversary celebration which featured Costaki Economopoulos.

Upcoming shows at Mason City Limits feature some familiar names to Bob & Tom fans: Todd Yohn, Eric Hunter, Rocky Laporte and Lord Carrett.

WGN America schedule change for Thursday

To make room for a rerun of the premiere of the new series Around the World for Free, WGN America is moving the TV version of The Bob & Tom Show to 7PM east/4PM west this Thursday. Friday night/early Saturday, Bob and Tom will be back at their usual midnight ET time slot.

Looking ahead at the WGN America listing, however, we see something interesting. Around the World for Free is on at the same time next week, but we don't see Bob & Tom on at 7PM, next Thursday. Maybe it's just an oversight, and the schedule will be updated. Hopefully.

But, do you find it strange that Bob and Tom are getting moved around like that? And even weirder is that they're being moved to make room for the second airing in the same night of Around the World for Free.

Still, 7PM ET is certainly a better time slot than midnight. But, just the same, moving a TV show around the schedule is rarely seen as a good thing.

Ron White on tomorrow

Comedian Ron White will sit in with Bob and Tom tomorrow, and it's being heavily promoted. Tom Griswold mentioned it days ago on the air. It's rare for them to promote a guest that far in advance. White hasn't been on in a while, so it should be a good show. He was on the Bob & Tom Show before most people knew who he was, so that's good that he's dropping in.

Ron White is currently on tour. Here are a few dates:

Comedian Dobie Maxwell wants you to know something

Dobie Maxwell has been on Bob and Tom a few times. One day, he got thrown off the show. Physically. Maxwell claims he doesn't know why:

I still haven’t been able to find out exactly what I did to deserve that but apparently I did break some rule they had that nobody told me about. Again, whatever. I was on that show several times before and did pretty well but one day everything changed and now I’m out.

We don't know either, but we do know that he seems to love talking about it. He's written about it before, and he's written about it again here for On Milwaukee. He also kvetches about not being invited on to a morning radio show in Kansas City.

We'd love to know why he's been banned from the Bob & Tom Show. If you know anything, we'd love to hear from you!

Bob and Tom gone from Lubbock, Texas

Just days after hosting a Canadian Mist Bob and Tom Comedy All-Stars tour stop, KFMX in Lubbock has given Bob & Tom the old Texas boot out of radio market #181. Looks like the station wanted a more music-oriented morning show. The new "Rock Show" in the morning, according to the station's website, is promising to "bring music and the Lubbock community back to mornings."

The March 20th All-Stars show had a great lineup: Paul Gilmartin, Jimmy Pardo, Tammy Pescatelli, Paul Mecurio and Donnie Baker with guest host Kristi Lee. I guess it wasn't enough to keep the show on in Lubbock.
